The Metropolitan Museum of Art is New York’s most valuable landmark with more than two million works of art and artifacts from ancient Greece, Egypt and Modern art from Europe and more. Skip the long line with this small group guided tour, learn the history and see the works of art housed within the museum’s walls. The tour begins with the Great Halls and visits the most popular galleries. You'll see the Chicago Stock Exchange at the American wing, housing the portrait of Washington crossing the Delaware River. From there, visit the Medieval European Galley where you can view the armor worn by Henry VIII. Along the way, you'll learn how the American galleries differ from their European counterparts, and learn about the lives of the artists, including Vermeer, Seurat and Van Gogh.
